Reformation Covenant Church is committed to the education of all of her members in the word of God. We believe that the Elders are shepherds of the flock of God and accountable to watch out for the souls of those under their care (Heb. 13:17; 1 Pet. 5:1-4). They are responsible to feed the flock of God with the scriptures, to the end that the congregation of the Lord is built up in the faith, and equipped and trained to worship and obey our gracious Lord and Savior. It is our goal to teach through the entire Bible in a systematic and edifying manner. We also teach portions of the Westminster Shorter Catechism.
We have classes for everyone in the church. While parents have the primary responsibility for the education of their children, it is biblically clear that the church is accountable to train the children of the covenant in the scriptures as well. In Joshua 8:34-35 and Nehemiah 8:1-8 we learn that it is the responsibility of the church to teach the Word of God to both adults and children, helping everyone to understand the Bible according to their ability. We have divided the children into classes by their age in order to better help them understand what is being taught.
Because the goal of Christian Education is to teach the people of God to be a worshipping community, we begin our Lord's Day with a time of singing and prayer before our Bible classes. At 9:30 we sing Psalms and hymns that prepare us for Bible study and worship. The Bible classes run from 9:45 to 10:45. Worship together begins promptly at 11:00. We encourage everyone to enter the sanctuary quietly and to prepare their hearts and minds for worship.

We are currently developing our own curriculum for children's Lord's Day Bible classes. The books of the Bible we have completed are available for your use here.
